About Spicewood Vineyards

When Ron Yates bought the Vineyard in 2007, he brought his Texas family’s heritage and mixed it with a passion for Spanish wines born through his time spent in the vineyards of Ribera del Duero. The Yates family and our Spicewood Vineyards team are dedicated to making the highest quality wines with Texas-grown grapes. In addition to our tasting room and production facility, we also have a large special events center that is perfect for weddings, receptions, catered dinners and other events. We invite you to enjoy a glass of wine on one of our covered porches that are nestled by a large koi filled stream and fountain. Relax under the large trees that provide a beautiful backdrop for pictures, creating memories and enjoying shade while listening to the babble of the stream as you sip on our wine and quite simply enjoy the moment. The Spicewood Vineyards winery encompasses approximately 5,000 square feet on two levels which includes a newly redesigned spacious tasting room on the top floor. The lower level of the winery building houses our picturesque wine production facility and barrel room made of Texan limestone where we have the capacity to produce more that 5000 cases of wine annually. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized with awards from prestigious international wine competitions including medals at the Concours De Lyon International Wine Competition in Lyon, France, the San Francisco International Wine Competition, the TEXSOM International Wine Awards, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
